Here is a little test I’ve been working on where players can press a “warp“ button to instantly jump to a new level with a new encounter objective.
Intent
Players can control their experience
If an encounter is too challenging or too easy they can instantly skip it
If they would like to search for a particular card they can go looking for it
Allows for engagement with exciting gameplay opportunities
Fast paced interaction they may already be used to from phone apps
Cuts out transition times that could cause disengagement
